If married in Louisiana you can kiss half your 401K and any other retirement or community property goodbye.

Only thing they can’t touch is anything you inherited. Land, money, houses, etc.... inheritance or future earnings from any inheritance can’t be touched by wife or lawyer.

Go to Walmart, target, etc....make a large purchase with debit card. Return it with receipt and get cash back (paying by debit then returns get cash back).

Not an attorney, but so I'm told (and read): If you can PROVE fault, such as adultery, the one at fault can not demand/collect alimony.

Obviously, this could be a big chunk to paying monthly just so he/she can maintain the lifestyle that you afforded her.

But PROVING adultery is not easy. Supposedly has to be more than circumstantial.

Go to Walmart, pay with debit, get $50-100 cash back each time. That's how my ex saved up before dropping the divorce on me. I just thought the grocery bill was getting higher each month.....
