Ha, knew that was the bassist for The Jam, but had to look up his name

Oddly enough, I wasn’t ever a huge fan - however, when my band recorded their first album, the engineer asked me what I wanted my bass tone to sound like and I played him this. So I had a pretty fair appreciation for Mr Foxton’s work

I was probably into a lot of similar stuff though - Elvis Costello (Bruce Thomas is the GOAT), The Clash, slightly more obscure stuff like The Vapors and The Records, US acts like The Ramones and Iggy, plus all the early British Invasion stuff by The WHO, Kinks, Beatles etc.
