That would be the stupidest thing for the XFL and the player.

Should I point out all the busts that come out of high school. Or should I point out that an unbelievably high percentage can’t get much pt as freshmen against college athletes but they are gonna play against grown men?

GTFOH one of the starting QBs in the XFL was working construction and hadn't played football in several years until the XFL offered him a spot. Do you realistically think a top rated high school recruit would be more of a risk??

It wouldn't be the smartest thing for the player to do but wouldn't be the dumbest thing for the XFL to do. Do you realistically think one of the top rated high school players couldn't crack the 2 deep of a XFL roster? DK Metcalf showed up at Ole Miss looking like he does now, do you think he couldn't have made it in the XFL?

The amount of exposure the XFL would get for having one of the top rated high school recruits would be ridiculous

Yes. It’s moronic. And you chose one position

That player you mentioned is a grown man with FAR more experience.

Oh. Btw, grown men tend not to follow 18 year high school qbs who can’t even get a beer.

Yes it would. You don’t pay for players to sit and develop. They aren’t college. This is the pros.

I know that a huge percentage wouldn’t.

Metcalf had 2 receptions as a freshmen. So, you want a good player to go to a league where you think he could dominate when he can’t do that in college.

Let me help you out. Top players want top money. They want to face the best so that they can get better.

That ain’t happening in the XFL. And if you are betting on yourself then the far smarter bet is going to college.

No it wouldn’t. The vast majority of pro fans don’t know top high school recruits. You know them because you care about college.

What? Of course he would.

An XFL team would have to offer at least 300K to get a prized HS QB to jump and he"d be playing against some guys that are 10 years older. Not gonna by ANY time to redshirt or develop...not when they're paying em more than 90% of the roster.

He's gonna have to step in and perform IMMEDIATELY.Good luck with pinning your hopes on an 18 year old kid who's gonna take a huge part of your payroll.

Spot on. Not to mention it’d allow the XFL to have these players for Atleast 3 seasons before they could even decide to go to the NFL, if they wanted to. Not to mention it allows the XFL to have stars for multiple seasons.
