Saw them in 1991 at lalalapooza.
That said, that was one hell of a good show. The flag moment helped define the band. I was so impressed, I thought Soundgarden had a tough act to follow.
Then Soundgarden came on, and I was gripping my toes to the turf I was so blown away.

Now seeing this, it may have been lalapalooza and not Jazz Fest where I saw Rage because I also remember that guy running up on stage and ripping the flag off!
Zach D just sat there for a moment, squatted down on stage, dumbfounded (but trying to look like he was lost deep in thought).
But, unless ripping the upside down flag off the speaker was a usual occurrence at RATM shows, we were at the same show, which was 94 or 95.
