i don't know what the backstory is between the invisible dude and Elizabeth Moss. Seems like he is tormenting and harassing her. Were they a couple?

Pretty sure shes his wife, but hes crazy so she leaves him.
He fakes his death and leaves his wealth to her as long as she passes a psych eval, and he fricks with her so she wont pass.
