That is just not true man.

Every time people knocked Clemson for their schedule this past year when discussing playoff seedings/participants, defenders would point to them having a weak schedule the year before and destroying Alabama in the championship.

People remember that stuff from the year before and it absolutely sways opinions of teams.

If Clemson got embarrassed by Ohio State last year by 40 points and didn't belong on the same field, it would definitely impact the perception of that team with the committee, in the media, and in the court of public opinion.

If Clemson is 13-0 again, which looks very likely based on that schedule they will be in the playoff

I agree.

Fans and media do, last year was a little different because they were the reigning champs. but i don't that impacts the committee, remember the first ranking Clemson was 5th and finished 3rd because of their schedule. They were 13-0, there were only 3 P5 teams that were undefeated, so they belonged in the playoff.

I disagree about the committee. OU got smoked multiple times, still made the playoff lost year. tOSU was embarrassed by Clemson in 2016 and damn near made the playoff with 2 losses the following year. It was the 2 losses, especially the arse kicking by Iowa that ultimately kept them out, not what happened the prior year in the playoffs
