If you are correct, why didn't the WRs that were playing two and three years ago, start and or be more productive in 2019?
The younger WRs were better athletes and/or better students of the offense.

I'll tell you why. The previous WRs were all just athletes.

Drake Davis was an athlete that was just bigger, stronger, and faster than everybody (also way too immature). This guy had Julio Jones level physical talent, but a 10 cent head.

Sullivan was a guy that several on the recruiting boards including me, wanted to play defense as he also played DE in high school. He looked better as a DE than a WR to me similar to Devonta Lee looking better as a safety than WR. Him nor Devonta wanted to come to LSU if they made them play defense (this is the stupidity than Devin White didn't have).

Derrick Dillon didn't do anything wrong, but he was also a guy who primarily played QB in high school and had to learn route running and all that at LSU. I always wanted to see him break out, but I think he was never better than 3rd or 4th on the depth chart. It sucks that he was neither invited to the senior bowl or combine, because I think both could have helped in getting him drafted. He's going to run a 4.3 something at pro day and even if somebody doesn't draft him, he'll get picked up immediately after the draft.

On another note, the actual legit WR prospect Anderson couldn't keep his dumbass out of trouble. I could have easily seen him forth on the depth chart this year and 3rd next year, but he wanted to keep screwing up. Kid had what was needed to be a top WR, just couldn't hold it down off the field.
