Chief's defenses were very good. In 2014, we had the number 1 defense in the SEC.
However, he consistently failed in crunch time. Critical 3rd downs were almost always given up and 2 minute defenses almost always gave up a score.
I understand he was put in difficult positions because of an ineffective offense, but that is no excuse to fail in crunch time.

I find this hard to believe. Didn’t we have 5 losses that year including a blowout loss to Auburn?
