Questions about the trains in Spain

Do you recommend buying tickets in advance or is buying them there easy enough? The reason I want to buy there was because I am unsure how long customs will take to get out the airport and if can catch an earlier train I would prefer to do that. We are traveling in the off season. TIA

We always just bought them there. Sometimes just in the station. Very efficient. You can buy them online too.

If you are taking one from the airport into the city I'd just buy it there. Any others would be much cheaper if you bought them in advance.
