Starting at $27k-35k annually in south Louisiana. Job market is not great for chemists as far as I know. Most "Chemist" positions are glorified lab tech jobs and don't pay much if any more.
Maybe I just got unlucky and got hired to a shite company out of college.
Best bet for a great job (plant based) is to get a lab tech job through a temp service like Kelly Services and work your way up.
