With the quality atletes Curtis has, they could play with ten while the traditional podunk school plays with 12...and it wouldn't make much of a difference. Look, I want the split to go away. However, to act as though there aren't shenanigans going on at times doesn't compute. That includes magnet schools etc. In the prior discussion, the subject was a traditional public school (in this case rural north Louisiana). If you can't see two distinct circumstances when comparing the two situations (where one school has a decided advantage based solely on the athletes), then you are either willfully ignorant, or disingenuous.

FWIW, I say do away with districts and classifications. Take TOTAL ownership of your schedule. Only the top 32 get to play for THE state championship. To hell with the "everybody gets a trophy" mindset.
