I don’t know about “don’t know football”. I agree that we ought to be more aggressive defensively, but Aranda has a genius scheme that can work at a high level with any level of talent. I just think with the dudes we got in the secondary that we basically should do whatever it takes to get a pass rush and let those guys go man-to-man. And now that we have an offense that can score quickly, I think being aggressive makes all the more sense. I don’t know a ton about defensive schemes and X’s and O’s, but those are my general thoughts.

We were running a hybrid 3-4.
KC would rush ~80% of the time and drop ~20%, but we essentially rush 4 with 3 DTs and a pass rusher on 1st and 2nd downs.
We had 2 Lb'ers and 5 Dbs on all but the 3rd down special rush packages.

"Going to a 4-3"... will just mean that one of our down lineman will be converted to a strong-side DE. This should create more depth and talent at our DT positions.
I don't see us changing our LB or DB philosophies much. You'll still need the speed and athleticism to deal with the modern passing game.
But the play-making split between DL and LB should be more balanced.
