Please. Gone to settings and clicked on turn WiFi on but it doesn’t. Go to the top and click where the WiFi is and it says no hardware installed. Can anyone help me fix this?
Thank you
Thank you

I usually contact apple support for the tricky stuff and they have helped me out every time. My laptop is almost 10 years old as well.

Open your system preferences
Click network - do you see a wifi option listed on the left?
Click advanced
Go to TCP/IP - are you using dhcp? Do you have a valid IP address? Click Renew DHCP lease if not
Go to DNS - are there any DNS servers entered?
Is the time/ date correct on your system?

Can you hardwire it to the router?

I'm going to try these. Thanks.

Unplug router and modem, wait a minute or so, plug them back in, and try again.

I tried these and unfortunately nothing. It's asking for DHCP Client ID under TCP/IP and I don't know that.
Wifi address is all zeroes
DNS servers area is blank
Date and time are correct
