if the human race found out, without a shadow of a doubt, that heaven does not exist, someone better hurry up and invent an afterlife. humans don't like "the end". we aren't built for it mentally.

I’m built for it. I believe my death is inevitable and that it will be the end of my consciousness in any form - yet I still lead a productive, fulfilling life, can handle adversity, and I have no desire to harm or cheat others.
People have been taught they need the crutch of religion when they actually don’t. Religion is the problem, not the solution.
