This is true. I’m in Lafayette and I’d be fricked.

I’d gather my immediate family and head to my place in Grand Isle with all my guns and ammo. We could survive off the land in GI for a while on seafood and roasted pelicans.

Low population and restricted access will be a haven. You can live off the sea and the food it provides.

Might look into a nice 20 mm Oerlikon to keep the riff raft and unprepared away.

You'd be dead within a week once the power was out and the fresh water runs out. Find a place with a cistern, I guess.

ETA: On second thought, if you can tap the storage tanks, you probably could survive a while. I take it back. Blow up the bridge and ride it out. You could post sentries along the bay side of the island and pick people off trying to cross via boat.
