Lots of early crawfish this year. For example, we started fishing on 1/22 last year and caught 4 sacks. Caught 45 sacks today, down from 62 sacks on Tuesday.
What is a historic average?

We typically don’t catch well until February. We’ve been catching for a month now

Not sure. This is year three for me. I didn't start until 2/1 in my first year. Mid January is a normal start with 1/4lb per trap from good farms. The labor arrives in the first two weeks of January and starts setting out traps.
