Would have had some terribly emotional consequences and definitely financial.

I'm completely onboard that we have saved lives at an incredibly great cost.

I really do believe it being an election year has changed how our government would have reacted.

I agree. "Trillions" is incomprehensible.

And I agree with pride that we don't know how this shakes out long-term.

I just don't know if there were a ton of other realistic options.

And no, I don't consider the government wishing everybody luck while making recommendations to be realistic. We kinda tried that early on and we saw how well it worked.
