And it's not like that problem would be solved by letting this virus run rampant without restriction.

I have never really seen or heard of the govt basically forcing people to stop business across the board. That feels new

And because of that, people that actually wanted to work and not be on the govt tit will now be forced into that situation. Just worries me, a lot. Far more than losing 2 million Americans does from a macro standpoint

I think losing 2 million Americans would have been awful and emotional as hell, but I don’t think losing 0.5% of our population(skewing towards the elderly) really has any lasting effect does it?

This reaction potentially has a lot of lasting effects.
