Not even close. He tried to argue that “unstable” patients could be people just walking around with a fever because the number of unstable patients didn’t fit his narrative.

To be fair, that's not what I did nor what caused the spat last. I said I don't believe all critical/serious condition cases = ICU equivalent cases. I didn't think that would be remotely controversial.

Poker_hog and I make a good team. We're like the upper and lower bounds of how this will end up. Aggravating one another for the good of the lurkers in the thread is a nobel act.

I worry about plenty. I simply think that worry should come with some perspective.

I enjoy debating you and the whopper jr artist. I get that some posters don’t like wading through pages of pissing contests though. Last night you clearly overplayed your hand. Nobody is an expert in everything. It’s better to just fold early on when you know you’re beat rather than throw good money after bad.

For the record I’ve said the data outside of China is reassuring for us here. If this was an apocalyptic event we’d likely already seen bodies piling up outside of China. However the numbers being reported from Wuhan are still very concerning. Most reasonable people don’t trust China and believe the numbers are being underreported.

It’s also clear to me that Wuhan’s medical infrastructure is overwhelmed. To me that’s the main threat this thing still poses to us and everyone else. No city is equipped to handle an extra 10k serious/critcal pts. No seasonal flu puts that type of strain on the system. I still think it’s unlikely to happen here but I wouldn’t make fun of anyone for stealing a couple dozen impossible whopper patties and throwing them in the freezer.
