The first time I had Indian food was in the 80s in England, I ordered Chicken Vindaloo because I had heard of it. They asked me if I wanted it British spicy or Indian spicy, of course I said Indian spicy. Holy shite that was the hottest thing I've ever eaten.

I did the same thing in London in 1989. We were drinking beer like water to quench the fire, with perspiration covering our faces.
