Very true, but I sense a shift. It seems the younger generations don’t care as much about people’s job titles as previous generations. It’s all so silly, really

My age group didn't care when we were younger. And then suddenly I noticed people caring more about titles than money.

We’re a very class driven society, even if we don’t talk about it very much. For me it’s that question at parties “what do you do.”
I think it’s almost always a tool to figure out where you “rank” in society. And that strikes me as tacky.
