I don't think there has been such a dramatic quantum shift in just the past twenty years. I've been around a long time, knew girls who were beautiful when I was young and along the way to the present. My daughter's recent school class had a statistically impossible percentage of insanely beautiful girls, but that seems to have been an isolated anomaly.

The main differences that I have observed is that they grew more mature more quickly (something in the water or steroids in the food chain), and the fashions they adopted were what we would have thought in the past would only be worn by a streetwalker.
