What are the average crimes that white and black juveniles are charged with? Isn't it possible that black juveniles commit worse crimes than white juveniles?
For that matter, what if the bias occurs before the case gets to a judge? Ie, white juveniles are more likely to be offered diversion.
White juvie offenders are probably more likely than black juvie offenders to have rich parents, so they need to do something much worse to end up in the courtroom.

Maybe this should be moved to the poliboard.
I agree. Move this to the proper place for discussion.

The article was pinpointing LSU graduates of a degree program and not LSU Law School. If it were merely social or racial injustice why point at LSU? Was it to smear LSU with racism?
I dont think the article was meant to "smear LSU with racism." I think if a similar study was conducted for many schools the result would be the same. I think the point of the article was to show how inconspicuous racial inequities still exist in our supposedly "post-racial society."

Judges are probably harsher on everyone after a loss.
there could be other factors... as in totally stupid crimes solely for the purpose of destruction..
judges could see a person who is willing to damage someone or someone's property just because a game was lost as more volatile.
