It was the best pound for pound during that era for sure iwantacooler. Loved doing that exact thing, land owners didnt expect a ton of money they just wanted the birds off. Good times for sure.

We only had one farmer ask us to pay, and it was $30/gun to hunt his field. It was a cool experience laying on the dry ground of a peanut field, covering up with burlap (layout blinds didn’t seem to be a thing then), and having ducks land all around you.
