But you will ride with Mathieu who couldn’t put the drugs away and got kicked off what could have been a national championship team with him in 2012.

Recency Bias and Miles hate is so strong in this thread. Leonard Fournette is the best RB to ever strap on the purple and gold. Period.

Besides having the best rushing year in LSU history?

Agree but

Burrow best in LSU history any position, SEC Champ
Chase, best WR in LSU history, SEC Champ
White, best LB in LSU history, Butkus award
TM7, best single season defender in LSU history, Bednarik Award, SEC Champ
PP7, best DB career in LSU History, Thorpe Award, special teams God.

LF7, as great as he is, not more impactful than these 5.

Nobody said he wasn’t. Just not a Top 5 all around player of last decade.

Using team accomplishments to measure individuals is idiotic. By that measure, Kevin Faulk wouldn't be a top all-time LSU player.

Even then I disagree that Chase is the best WR in LSU history. Although Chase has won a lot of individual plaudits, it's not even clear that he's better than Justin Jefferson. Chase has more yards, but Jefferson has a lot more catches, and they both have the same number of touchdowns. For my money Jefferson is the better route runner, has better hands, and is amazing at finding space. Chase has better hops, and is a fantastic deep threat, though Jefferson is no slouch himself.

he led the sec in all purpose yards as a true freshman
set every single season lsu rushing record
was the 1st sec rb to lead the ncaa in rushing in a half century
his rushing yards per game in 2015 are the second most in sec history

LF is easily a top 5 player the last decade

I see what you're saying but awards and accolades have to matter

Les is such a bum he drug the program down from the heights and which Saban left it and he couldn't recruit. Can you believe he wanted Dak at TE? What a fool anyone could see he would be great.

Not sure if this is sarcasm.

It is well documented that Miss St was one of the few schools that wanted him as a QB. Most wanted him at other positions.

Using team awards to choose between individual players is always idiotic.

Individual awards matter too. But the difference between Jefferson and Chase this season has as much to do with match-up advantages, and that streak in the middle-late portion of the season where Chase was unguardable. Since UGA, Chase has been getting more attention, with Jefferson now being afforded more mismatches. I stand by my assertion that it is questionable that Chase is the best WR on the team, despite individual accolades.

Either way, Hypothetically, which would you trade to have LF7 on this team and put CHE on the bench?

I would love LF7 on this team. Do you suddenly think we wouldn't be an elite or championship team if LF7 was leading the line? Guice, LF7, and Hill would do great in this offense.

Nope, I think LF7 is a stud. He’s just not a top 5 player of last 10 years. Top 10, yes. He’s a little short for the Top 5.
