That "second" could also be the one after Aleva was presented with Tom Herman's final demands and he chose coach O instead. As it turns out, THAT second was a critical turning point in the journey to LSU's current position. I have criticized Aleva for his stance at Duke as well as several other events that I feel he was wrong in. The second he hung up on Tom Herman's agent and decided to hire Ed Orgeron will be appreciated for a long time in Baton Rouge.

Really good... but I have to be ‘that guy’ and point out that Lavalais was 2003 (not 2007) and Randle was WR1 in 2011 (not Beckham).
