Yea I’ll be retiring in the Philipines but no way I’m living in Mindanao. I’ve been to Gen Santos and Davos.

Tagaytay south of Manila is really nice, too... wife wants to get a condo there in the next few years. Nice ones for under $100k, lots of celebs/wealthy Filipinos have places there so the restaurant and entertainment scene is top notch without the downside of Manila, and it's about an hour drive away if you need to go to the city for some reason.
