Because back in the day one of the primary selectors a woman used to pick a man to marry was whether or not he was financially stable enough to support her and a family. That's out the door now thanks to feminism and the government's war on the family unit.

a lot of women had to settle for guys they didn’t really want that much

I got my masters in accounting so pretty girls would love my boring arse, but it turns out I’m just an ugly, uninteresting, CPA who hates women because they’ve always thought I’m a boring nerd. Why don’t they love me for my steady income?!?!
