"They are making it to hard for the players to grasp. Therefore you have people running around doing their own things and that's when you have these break downs and players start pointing at one another. If they just start making it simpler they would have more success."
EXACTLY what was wrong with Schiano's OSU defense last year. This year they got rid of him and went to a more basic understandable D. But can that be done mid year with the same D. coach?

Schemes, angles, playing out of position, bad tackling....You name it, it was a total mess. This year, with the proper coaching with an all new staff they have corrected all their mistakes and are #1 in total defense... with virtually the same players. 4* and 58 players want and need to be coached up to, just like the 3*. Ryan Day has done a miracle job correcting Meyers staff choice.
