Regarding getting to NO for a few hours Friday night, I would visit Frenchmen Street. There will be many clubs where you two can have a drink (alcoholic or otherwise) and get something to eat as well. Check out Maison, 30/90, dba, Spotted Cat, Bamboula's, The Blue Nile, and several more all within two blocks of each other. Almost all of these serve food also - which may influence your choice about eating in BR that evening. Its a fun scene and you can walk on the street with a cocktail or beer as long as it is in a cup - no glass.

As an alternative to parking for the game, especially to gain easy access in and out, you could park north of campus off of Highland. I usually park on E. Roosevelt between Thomas Delpit and Georgia. It is 5 blocks from campus and super easy in and out (use Delpit to go North/South from interstate). ONE CAVEAT ON THIS PARKING RECOMMENDATION: It is a somewhat run down area and it may not suit you. I park there for every game and have never had a problem, plus its free.

just want to thank you for being a great dad

you can’t beat Walk-Ons for game day meal- they have it all and you are just South of the Stadium- parking- forget about getting out easy - go back to Walk-ons after game - after 2 hours it’s still bumper to bumper- for you as a rookie- no hope - if you are parked pre 11 to 12 you will be close but also means you ain’t getting out - see Mike and best LSU gear right at his massive cage area - have fun - be careful in NO - lots of crazy’s around the Quarter
