At sea level, unless a player has underlying lung issues such as asthma, emphysema, etc., there is minimal effect from supplemental oxygen. A player can not saturate above 100%. Application of face mask oxygen had mostly a placebo affect.

Multiple minimal effects add up. Adding a shadow staff was once seen as a minimal effect.
