You sound like a pretty decent neighbor.
You don't need to be in your neighbors business. A courtesy wave at first viewing of the day, and in some subtle way let him or her know that as their neighbor you are watching their back.

I get it because I’m living it. But I still don’t know what it is this way. It’s a strange phenomenon.
