Maybe, but I also think that as much of a positive that was for Texas (e.g., early confidence) it could have been a negative for LSU (e.g., played them as if they were more or an equal, instead of a clearly inferior team).

Regardless, 6-4 is about as accurate of a record as they can have considering they’re 3-3 in one possession games. But if anything, they’re closer to 2-4 than 4-2 in those games since they have a smaller scoring margin (11 vs. 16), more last second wins (2 vs. 1), and fewer games that had a late score (e.g., < 2 minutes) to make it one possession (1 vs. 2) in their 3 wins.

So it’s a pretty decent win, but even those unquantifiable circumstances (e.g., hyped up team with a lot of confidence) that may make it a bit better of a win, doesn’t make it a very good win, let alone anything close to a top-10 win.
