Yep and that's because of the accuracy. The bottom line is that Joe is a more efficient QB. He's getting more yards out of every pass attempt because he's completing more of them and getting more out of the ones he completes.
The other thing that impresses me about him (and this is getting a little off topic) is his ability to make quick decisions correctly. I've always said that the difference between good QBs and great ones is not arm strength or any of that. Nearly all QBs in the NFL or the upper echelon of CFB have good arms. The difference to me is the ability to quickly process a lot of information and make a good decision about where to go with the ball. QB is a position mostly played between the ears and Joe has a great football IQ.

It’s not just football IQ. A friend of mine who’s son went to high school with him says his mind is being waisted on football. He is a very intelligent young man from what I hear. I’m told that intellectually he could do anything he puts his mind to.
