10 seems a LOT looser.
It really is and it comes with a metric frickton of drivers. The only issue I've come across is when doing an upgrade from 7. During the upgrade process Windows will keep many (if not all) of the things in your Windows folder (C:\Windows) but move it to Windows.old. Your drivers are usually found in C:\Windows\system32\DriverStore and during the upgrade process I've found Windows will not replace a few driver associations from 7 with their counterpart in 10. (it's been a while since I've tinkered with it so I don't remember the exact ones, I just remember it was a PITA to have to find the open file, research what it was for, hunt down a current version, uninstall the old one then install the one I downloaded)
This means windows.old cannot be deleted in its entirety until that driver is updated with either a Windows 10 version or the old driver is uninstalled then reinstalled from within 10 (to move the association to the version in the Windows 10 DriverStore).
I want to say this happens when you do the upgrade to the 1903 build as well.
