I couldn’t imagine having to directly deal with it. If someone sincerely asked me to call them something other than what they biologically are, I might just accidentally laugh and hurt their feelings.

Its ridiculous. I'm going to call you what I assume you are upon sight.
If you are a dude and want to be called "she", do a better job of looking the part. Vice versa.
