I'll always wear a suit, or sports coat and slacks, but admit to often ditching the tie..too damn hot in La summers.

And I agree with the general assertions, it's made even eating out at nice establishments, and even top-tier Vegas joints like Wynn, Bellagio, Aria, etc..feel cheesy with all the Cali t-shirt flip flop untucked collared shirt crowd meandering about.
