I am finally getting to take my old man to our first game in Tiger Stadium for the Auburn game. Been to the campus many times, and have seen a few away games but have never seen a game in Death Valley. I was wondering for suggestions on how to make the most of a quick trip to Baton Rouge.... Where to eat, where to tailgate, and any other advice. I can't wait!! Any suggestions help!

Eat at Chimes

Walk from tailgate-to-tailgate and explain it's your dad's first game. people will be welcoming.

Watch the team & band go down victory hill.

First of all, Kat sounds like a girl's name so if you're a bawette we're gonna need pics.

Secondly, Auburn is a 2:30 game so get to campus EARLY. I'm talking 7ish. You can try eating at Chimes but honestly just walk around and introduce yourselves at tailgates, tell your story and you'll get all the food and drink you could want. Watch the band march down the hill. Get in the stadium early enough for Callin Baton Rouge.

Eat at the chimes.

Go around to different tailgates and introduce yourselves/explain it's your first time. People should be happy to welcome you in and show off their tailgate.

Go see Mike. Watch the team come down victory hill followed by the band. Be in your seats by 2 PM at the latest. It's fun to watch the stadium fill up and get louder as the excitement grows with kickoff approaching.

Enjoy what is hopefully another 14+ point win.

Get there Friday evening. Have dinner Friday at Mike Andersons. (1031 W. Lee Drive) Hit Louie's for breakfast Saturday morning and the Chimes for lunch. Soak up the atmosphere amongst the "stately oaks and broad magnolias" on campus. Stand-by on the hill to see the team come down and to see Tiger Band play pre-game outside the stadium. Then hurry to your seats to see Tiger Band play Pre-Game on the field and revel in the goosebumps you'll get.
After that, enjoy the win! (And stay until the very end even if it means traffic sucks.)
