I did a small stretch of the Appalachian trail back in my early 20s when I was still entering the spirit world a lot. For the most part I was camping around other folks who were also doing the trail. It was about 1.5 weeks worth. I tried to carry a bunch of MREs leftover from Hurricane Rita to avoid buying food since I was broke and just about starved. Good times.


I've done some solo hiking and hunting other than that on weekends and have always enjoyed it. It's a good way to reset. With everything in my life seeming to move way too fast it is comforting to go to a place that change over the past 15 years is nearly imperceptible.
