I'm not saying he wouldn't be missed as he's a great GM. He's also not the only person capable of doing that job. The Dodgers aren't going to collapse w/o him.

My opinion that the Dodgers will be just fine if he left is a testament to how great of a job and system he was able to put in place there. I have no doubt that machine will keep on plugging.

quote:

You joke about dombrowski but if Friedman leaves you almost certainly will hire someone who will be more apt to trade the farm for major league talent to win a championship knowing they don’t have the cache of Friedman and if they win a championship they will get instant accolades for that.

Friedman has had an astounding amount of discipline to trust the farm and get the payroll under control.

You ever thought maybe that is what has been holding the Dodgers back from winning that ring?

Meh, he has tried to make the big move with Yu, Machado, etc.... So he has been willing to trade but it hasn't worked.
Dodgers need some bullpen help and maybe a starter as well. Kershaw pitched well this year but he is no longer the ace. Buehler is taking the stage.
Buehler, May, Kershaw then who is in the rotation? Stripling? Maeda? Urias? Hill/Ryu are free agents
