and i think thats a poor way of looking at it. you dont just shrug your shoulders and go "whatever, we will be ok" if someone like friedman leaves the organization. you do everything you can to keep him inside of it cause you are absolutely better with him than you are without him. thats the point

But they would be just fine without him. Do you suddenly think they're just going to stop being a 90+ win team anywhere in the near future if Friedman left?
We'll agree to disagree. He did such a great job building it back up that even if he weren't there, they'd operate just the same. That's just my opinion.
If Byrnes isn't the next man up, all I would do is call Erik Neander's agent up and hand him a blank check. He'd be on the first flight to LA the next morning out.
