Are you kidding? This is the same (R)controlled legislature that failed to fully fund education and teacher pay raises throughout Jindal's 8 year tenure as Governor. Now teachers are to believe that a new (R) governor will give them significant raises? JBE got the $1,000 for teachers this year because it was an election year, and the (R) legislature knew to oppose it would cost them seats. If JBE could have gotten teachers more, he would have. The biggest problems with La government isn't with the governor, it's with a RINO controlled legislature.

I'm not one to preach to about spending more money on a suffering education system. I don't agree that money would fix it.
We didn't have all this tech crap back in our day, and I learned calculus, physics, literature, etc just fine with a teacher standing and talking with an overhead projector.
It's all about attitude and the drive to succeed. I don't think money fixes that.

What the heck do you mean by "fully fund" education? K-12 education was increased EVERY YEAR under Jindal. It just wasn't increased as much as local school boards and teacher unions would have liked.
What he did do was reform how the money was being spent through massive school reform.

Huh? So are you complaining about the raise not being enough, or that it was given with the approval of RINO legislators?
Something here doesn't mesh.
