Consider the source but Finebaum last Aug. when this first came up, said that he used to be a big UM fan, and his shows did reflect that, but then he spent some time last Jan/ Feb. at UF and was "made aware" of a LOT, his emphasis, of dirt on UM. Stuff that had never been reported. To the extent Finebaum called him a "despicable human being and one of the biggest liars I know". Word may finally be getting out, especially if Ohio St. did end up running him off as alleged here.
This has always been my personal feelings on Urban. He did a lot of really bad stuff at UF (like yelling at the reporter who was just doing his job; recruiting anyone to win etc), and that was what ended his time there. I was not excited in the least when he got hired at OSU, but I'm certainly not going to stop watching my university, so I supported him.
I was somewhat pleasantly surprised by the types of kids he recruited to OSU. You will always have some problems being at a big time university, but overall the kids who are in the NFL now from Urban's time are damn good players and aren't serious issues (the one exception being Zeke but that's kind of for another thread). He started real life wednesdays at OSU which is helping the kids who won't be playing in the NFL get exposure to great places to work.
He made some mistakes in coaches he hired/moved to different coaching positions etc. and that was really what was wearing him down IMO, along with having some legit health concerns.
I think his UF "stink" will always be a cloud over him which is probably fair based on what has come out after the fact. I would be surprised if a similar type of cloud comes out from his time at OSU
