I don't think that's true.

Not everyone is a Comic book nerd and that show was lightly watched.

But everyone watched Scooby-Doo.

Dukes of Hazzard was the #1 show in television and everyone seems to have an opinion about that car...even if they didn't watch the show.

KIT...C'mon. They have 3 cars at Universal Studios that you can mess with...

The Delorean from Back to the Future, KIT and the A-team van.

There are people who generally don't know what the frick the Batmobile looks like but if you showed them a picture of the General Lee or Kit...they'd be hell yeah.

Batman aired for only 3 seasons and was never a hit.

Mothers, daughters, sisters know the General Lee, they have no idea about the 60's Batman car. It just looks Halloween.
