My wife and I live frugally. Everything is paid off so when my daughter and son in law said they were pregnant, my wife gave her 9 month notice. She has kept him from day one.
I retired a year later. I work three days a week to keep busy. Thursday and Friday are my days with him. He is two now and we love taking care of him everyday.
The good news is my daughter is pregnant again and we can’t wait. Taking my grandson fishing two morning’s a week is the best thing in the world. Life is too short and they grow up so fast.
I’d rather teach them about life myself. This is the best time of our lives.
