A quick search shows that about 40,000 people die every year from 2nd hand smoke (innocent victims).
I didn’t even bother to look for alcohol related deaths from car crashes (innocent victims).
Shooting deaths from all rifles are less than 1,000.
Walmart still sells beer and cigarettes.
I don’t have a problem with WM not selling ammo because I’ll continue to get it online or at my lgs.

Just talked with our regional Walmart sales manager. Gave me a little more clarification. They will still carry .223 in small quantity (20rd box) hunting grain as well as 7.62, .308, 300blkout, 6.5 Grendel and so forth. Basically will no longer carry cheap manufacturers (tull-ammo) and large quantities (above 20rd per box) of any of those calibers. Also there is more discussion and more to come on how to move forward with.22 bullets. Possibly no more bricks and buckets cap sale at a single 50rd box per customer situation.
