A little history about the thread Topic. I have been a member and long time moderator over on Cockytalk. The Fark Board over there was good several years ago, but over time it basically died and was on life support. A few months ago, Pain Train came over and started a thread in our Fark Forum for posting Football coaches as musical artists. It got some support for a few weeks from some of our guys there, but it was mainly kept running by Pain and myself, but it was one of our longer running threads in the past 5-6 years.

Cockytalk has been experiencing some major technical issues as well for the past couple of years, and the board had periods of crashing for a couple of hours and at times for days. It was down for major repairs two years ago for almost a month, and since it has been back on line, it still had "hiccups' ... This past weekend The owner of the board finally decided to shut the site down completely. It was too much of a hassle for him and his brother to continue to run, so it is now officially Dead !

Anyway, I can handle the board funeral fine enough, but GOD I miss that thread over there. It was fun, and I still had some good ideas to work on as well .............SO

I'm going to start it again here to see if we can surpass the one that Pain Started over there. The Topic:

Post your idea of ANY FOOTBALL COACH ( College or NFL / Head Coach or Assistant Coach / Living or dead ......) as any musical artist from any genre. Country, Rock, Blues, Classical, Opera etc...Let your imagination run wild.

GO !!!!

I'm going to need time to get over this. Honestly, I don't know if I have the heart to do another thread. That thread was truly epic. One of the members over there said it was the best farking he had seen in a long, long time. All that great work...poof.

Yep ...I signed on after that embarrassment of a game Saturday to see how badly the board was in meltdown, and to check in with the other mods. We pretty much decided to not even try to police the board because the mods were as pi$$ed as everybody else. The board crashed (AGAIN) about 10 minutes after I signed on and I said to myself (That's probably a good thing given the circumstances). It was still down Sunday Morning so I got on Facebook to see what everyone was saying after they had a few hours to soak up the frustration and sober up some..........First thing I saw was a FB message by Chuck saying he'd pulled the plug on Cockytalk. He said it was just getting to be a pain in the butt to get VB to continue to patch up the technical issues, and he was also probably hung over and still ticked off after the loss. It is now officially DEAD. The thing that pissed me off the most was because that thread ended as well.

I think someone did one of Jimbo as Freddie Mercury in that thread as well, but the one I did was of Jeff Fisher as Freddie (someone requested it to see what it would look like) ...... This the one you were talking about?

I remember calling it Agmenian Rhapsody. I think you posted it here last year...or might've been a link and I re-posted it.

Sad, RIP to a ridiculous amount of werk you guys did.

I had my next fark done and was waiting until after the game to post it...thinking it would act as a bump and maybe we would get more eyes on the thread with the increased site traffic after a Gamecocks win. Obviously, that plan got completely blown out the water even more than I originally thought.
