That team LSU played last night was no cream puff and they will have a great season. I am amazed how good LSU looked last night. For the first time in a very long time, there was no first game sloppiness, penalties, and the staff had our guys ready to play like a M’Fing Champion.

Best of luck to GA Southern going FWD. In the 80’s, I read these articles on Erk Russel of GA Southern and was always in awe of him as a coach. LINK LINK

I wonder how many extended injuries GA Southern had.

Not sure but the triple option is notoriuous for wonding defensicve players and our guys were so well prepared and no one hurt! Damnit, I will be uselss until the TX game!!!

Under the right HC, coaching, staff and players I believe you'd be right, but GSU has suffered badly in 2016 and 17. made a comeback last year with a 10-3 record but were stomped by LSU. Maybe it will take another 2 years using the Shotgun Option to get back up to speed.

We have done better against P5 teams when we were FCS using the Flex Option and in 2014 & 15, under HC Fritz using the Shotgun option.

Oh well, we will se how much GSU improves over the rest of the season.

They did play amazing. You weren’t paying close enough attention though if you thought there weren’t many penalties. 7 for 70 yards. Need to clean that up.
