Was starting my first year in law school. Went 5 days without power up here in Zachary and tried to keep that in perspective with what NOLA was going through. Actually have a very good lawyer friend to this day that I would have likely never met if Katrina didn’t put the NOLA law schools out for the year. We got a lot of Tulane and Loyola students. Rita was worse for us up here but Katrina easily had a bigger impact when you consider it in total.
