Well no team yet but this venue would be perfect for a team

The stadium is currently in awful shape, so I hope they could put enough money into it to do it right.

The stadium is just down the street from John Hunt Park, which is where AHSAA has their soccer semis and finals every year. Huntsville is a pretty good soccer town.

If they get a team, I hope it's an independent instead of Nashville's reserves.

If all the reserve sides drop down to USL-L1, then Huntsville could get a Championship team. Hartford has a team and Huntsville has 75k more people.

A Championship side would be interesting with its distance to Birmingham. If Nashville has their own League One side I think they will play in Murfreesboro. We played our Open Cup matches there and I think it was mainly to test things out. The soccer/track field there would be under the size for seating currently but I figure they can just throw up some cheap metal bleachers to get it right.

Anyways, with a team in Huntsville I wouldn't mind driving down to catch a game. I figure there's a good chance we would meet them in open cup or for a friendly.
